Minor and Major Servicing

Regular servicing of your vehicle are a good way to pick up problems early, before they end up costing you a lot more money to fix a bigger problem. Let’s have a look at what these services include:

Minor Service:

• Your engine oil is replaced with new, clean oil so that your car runs more efficiently.
• All of the vehicles fluids are changed, these include the brake, clutch, transmission, power steering and coolant fluids.
• The oil filter is also replaced, so that your engine runs more smoothly.
• Your battery is tested to make sure that it still hold its necessary charge and is unlikely to need replacing before your next service.
• A full safety inspection, to check if anything needs replacing or fixing, either now or in the near future.
• The vehicle goes for a test drive, to make sure that everything is perfect.
• The remaining filters including air, fuel and pollen, are inspected.
• The gearbox oil, transfer case and differential oil are checked as well.

Major Service:

• Your old dirty engine oil is replaced with clean oil, which makes your engine run more efficiently and smoothly.
• The oil, air, fuel and pollen filters are replaced, making your car run more effectively.
• Spark plugs are replaced to minimize your fuel consumption.
• Brakes are inspected, cleaned and adjusted as necessary.
• The transmission, clutch, brake, power steering and coolant fluids are all flushed and replaced, keeping you and your passengers safe.
• Major services include a road test, to pick up any problems that can’t be detected easily by normal inspection.
• A full safety inspection is done so that you can have complete confidence in your car.
• Battery is tested to make sure that it’s is still charging correctly and that it doesn’t need replacing any time soon.
• After all that, the gear box, transfer case and diff oil are all checked, as are all of your bulbs and the wiper blades.

Vehicle Inspection

When it comes to you and your passengers safety you can’t afford to take any chances. Going on a road trip with the family? You would definitely need to make sure all the major operating components of your vehicle is in tip top conditions.

There is a certain checklist you could follow:

• Check the tire pressure and tread.
• Make sure battery are stable and do a charge/discharge test.
• Evaluate wear on the drum, brake pads and rotors also check the break fluid.
• Examine the power steering belt, power steering fluid level, power steering pump and check for fluid leaks.
• Complete exterior inspection.
• Inspect headlights, brake lights, hazard lights and turn signals.
• Examine the windshield and wiper blades.
• Engine inspection for leaks, damage and maintenance check will be completed.
• Check the oil levels, coolant levels and washer fluid levels.
• Inspect the belt operations.
• Check hoses for leaks and other issues.
• Examine the exhaust manifold, catalytic converter, tailpipes and muffler for damage, cracks and leaks.
